Permits and Fees


To hunt geese, you must have a Federal Migratory Game Bird Permit, a Saskatchewan Game Bird license and a Wildlife Habitat Certificate.

If you are not a Canadian resident, you will need to purchase a non-resident game bird license.

Fees In Canadian dollars are:

Federal Migratory Game Bird Permit - $17.85

Canadian Resident Game Bird License - $56.91

Non-Resident(not from Canada) Game Bird License - $113.83

Your game bird licence is also a permit to export legal limits of game birds providing you accompany them in transit.

For Canadian Hunters between ages 12 to 18, a youth game license is available for $8.83

**Federal permits can be purchased at any post office in Saskatchewan. Licenses are available for purchase by mail, phone, online or in person from designated vendors. To order by mail, you will need to include the name, address, phone number, date of birth and gender of each applicant and send it to:
